exciting but! bittersweet

So I won’t give any specifics ,but on Friday afternoon my agent called to inform me it was btwn me and 3 actresses for a wonderful role in a new film. I had kinda let go of the film, as much as I loved the character and the story, the people involved and the writer/director…the part is sassy and fun and full of life.

That phone call was amazing and so much would change as shooting begins in my hometown actually !!!!!!!!Tuesday…on Saturday my agent called to let me know another actress got it. SHe was someone I was quite familiar with in NY even 20 years ago…we even had been compared to each other in some ways. SO funny.

I’ll let you know details when it’s shot and airing. So suffice it to say…we didn’t go to DIsneyland per se this weekend…but my emotions are still riding the gamut. Overall thankful, humbled and proud to know I was so close to a player in this film..uuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

YES THAT WAS ME

OK

I SAW IT TOO. ON A BIG SCREEN IN FRESNO WITH ALL OF TIMS FAMILY. And when we played it in slow, slow motion ..There I was on the 2nd wagon just about to be lifted down by my husband, when they CUT to the next scene, and I”m on the picnic blanket with our broken wagon wheel/chicken deprived family…and the last scene I’m shooing the kids off to play. I”M the redhead..

NOw I see how the editor is the man with the power. Still all in all..it was fun ..and I see in the commercial I’m extremely happy to be there, and working.. And I am.. Thanks for tuning in ..

PS TIM AND HIS 2 NEPHEWS HIKED THE HALF DOME SATURDAY AT YOSEMITE NAT’L PARK TO BRING IN HIS BIRTHDAY.. 20 MILES TOTAL… YEE HA..

TUNE IN TO THE NFL HALFTIME GAME SUNDAY NITE

Toyota Commercial, 1rst Grade, and Crown swallowing and Upright Cabaret

Yep ..Last night as I was reheating the ribs TIm grilled over the weekend, I snuck a bite of one of TIms..and I thought,”yummy , but kinda chewy” 2 minutes later I noticed my temporary crown was missing.. The permanent one comes next week. It has a habit of coming over my tooth, once before while eating a banana..but how did I chew , swallow and continue cooking without noticing.

So everything comes out in the ‘wash’ so they say.. I’ll get another one tomorrow..Yeeha.

OK onto business

Friday night I’m singing a song at the 8 and 10 o’clock show at Upright Cabaret in LA.

They’ve recently moved to VERMONT restaraunt..so I”m excited cuz that’s my old Los Feliz neighborhood.I probably will sing SInce I Fell For YOu.

2) My Toyota commercial ,where I play a wagon woman/wife in 1892 at a tailgating party, airs SUnday , Sept 20th during the NFL halftime game..I believe NY GIANTS vs Dallas? Anyway it’s the night game on SUnday. It may be in black and white. I’ll be the one jumping off a wagon and carrying a basket.. I’ll write more about my fun time after it airs..

Harrison gets out early on Wednesday so I have to get going. He loves reading his poems the 1rst graders get to read on Fridays at the assembly.

We spent all Sunday at knotts berry farm’s SOAK CITY..he loves the water ..and gymnastics, and me…and tim..

CITY ON FIRE!

HI, HOWARD TUCKER HAD THE GREAT SUGGESTION FOR ME TO LET YOU KNOW THAT TIM, HARRISON AND I ARE DOING FINE. IT STINKS, THE AIR IS THICK,AND HARRISON HAS TO STAY INSIDE AT SCHOOL .. HE STARTED 1RST GRADE FULL TIME THIS WEEK. THE 1RST DAY HE SAID, HE WAS THE SMARTEST BOY, BUT ALL THE GIRLS WERE STILL SMARTEST. THE NEXT DAY HE SAID IT WAS HARD, AND NO NAP.. LOL

HE IS BEGINNING TO READ AND LOVES GYMNASTICS, BUT NOW MAY START KARATE TOO.

AS FOR MY COMMERCIAL..YEE HA.. I’ WILL DBLE CHECK THE AIRTIME DATE.. THAN LET YOU ALL KNOW. THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE FIREMAN AND HOMELESS ,AND INNOCENT WILDLIFE AND OUR LUNGS. LOVE JEN

1892 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR

Monday was a blessed day. I was in Santa Clarita, CA, desert land, filming a Toyota commercial. From the director, Baker Smith to the cast, top notch, witty, happy people. I could have cared less it was 90 degrees…Our segment is one of 16? showing the history of tailgating. I’ll leave the rest to your entertainment viewing…ours airs Sept 20th on NBC during Monday Night Football half time. Yeeha!

My husband on set, is a wonderful British actor, Neil Dickson. He’s classy, gifted and humble…and one of his many credits, the mini series AD, is Tim’s favorite, and the character he played, VALERIUS, is very special to Tim and I…for many reasons…and when I found out, I knew this was a gift from above…no doubt.

I’ll write more later…but suffice to say…it was a great day…the director was wonderful. Baker Smith, love his energy, humor and speed…thank you to all.

Gotta pick up Harrison today from Fresno…3 1/2 hrs from here. He’s with Tim’s family…as Tim is away till Friday in MN… too.

LAST ANNIVERSARY A ROMANTIC DINNER, THIS YEAR DISNEYLAND FOR THE 3RD TIME

Harrison the Jedi

Well 3 is a charm. We spent Saturday , our 6th Anniversary at Disneyland, since we had 1 more day in our 3 day pass. Last year TIm took me to a nice romantic dinner …this year I was very excited to get a large bag of warm kettle corn..which Harrison ate as much as me.

We did California Screaming in the day and at night and Harrison kept his Jedi/Franciscan robe over his face the whole ride…Hence when we download the photos you’ll see what I mean. We went to watch the Jedi Training this time, since he already received his certificate, and he memorized the script and the way the Master wore his cloak…(which Tim bought for Harrison with the promise that no matter what new character he likes by Halloween, this will be his outfit)…

So needless to say, we’ve been in training at home to become Jedi’s..He’s also in his 2nd week of gymnastics camp , which 1 hour is dedicated to actual training, and the rest is running around on trampolines, and all those mats and equipment, but he loves it…and no dodgeball.

I have good new s and bad news. Bad news is Harrison and I have to cancel our trip to my parents house and visit with my 18 nieces and nephews and brother and sisters next week, cuz the good news is I booked a National commercial. more about that when I sign the contract.. but needless to say we’re all excited.. alright time to wake him up… later

2 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS IN 97 DEGREE DISNEYLAND

YES 97 degrees daily, but still it reminds you everywhere ,that it’s the HAPPIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD..And it was a great time. We drove to the hotel early and they had a king size suite ready for us at 8 30 in the morning. (I had free points accumulated from my year in The Full Monty, so it was FREE!!!)

The hotel was lovely, and the free breakfast was wonderful for big morning eaters..And there was a free shuttle to Disneyland..so we saved so much just there.

The minute we arrived, we headed for the STAR WARS JEDI TRAINING ACADEMY.I had made a sign for Harrison saying something like, “My name is Harrison. I’m 6 years old, and I’ve been practicing daily to become a Jedi .Please Pick Me.

Tim and I were so nervous, wanting so badly for him to be picked. I was coaching him like a stage mom to jump up and down and wave his sign. Well they did choose him and some other boys and girls. they robed them . He was on the top stage, so excited. The master Jedi came out and gave them light sabers and taught them a routine…than suddenly they had to flee the stage, because DARTH VADER started rising up from below…Well than he was 3 rd in line to fight DARTH VADER.

Harrison  looked petrified, but he couldn’t back away.. the master coached him as he approached the 10 foot tall Vader who said’The force is strong with this one.: “left shoulder, right shoulder, left leg, right leg, duck….good job..” Harrison was victorious and later received his certificate that he’s now a Jedi…that set the tone for the rest of the day . Thank God.

Tim also got him a Jedi outfit he was begging for.  Unfortunately the next thing we did was SPace Mountain. I now have an inkling what being pregnant might feel like. And TIm too. lol

But we were there from opening until almost midnight,a nd returned to do California Adventure at 10 the following day, where Harrison loved, and I ended up doing 5 times with him, since it threw TIms body off…California Screaming…1rst thing in the morning. holy cow.

ANyway we took lots of photos and videos.. so they’ll be up soon.

AUdition and work wise it’s been so slow for me. But today Harrison has a Toysrus audition..thru my friend.. lol

At least someone has some action.

4th of July

Well we had a great day yesterday. We left at 9 15 am to go to the neighborhood fire station to meet Harrison’s classmate Christopher and his mom Trish, and we had a pancake breakfast. It was packed! Than the fire trucks were parked outside for the kids to explore, and at 11 the parade started. We felt like we were in Mayberry as it had such a hometown feel.

We kept pushing the kids to run into the street whenver the parade people threw water or candy. They found balloons and flags, and we followed the caboose of the parade to its resting place at a gorgeous park…where we stayed till 5 at night, left for dinner, and arrived at the high school football field for jazz, and fireworks ,and to our surprise 3 huge bounce houses. This was worth the price of admission.

Harrison danced to the music and was in awe of the bright display of fireworks .We finally arrived home after 10 am and he slept for almost 11 hours. He actually ordered salad with his cheeseburger and fries , because his friend didn’t want any vegetables. Mind you, Harrison has never had salad in his life…but he ate some of it…just to outdo his friend.

We had a great time..and tomorrow starts his 2nd week of Intro to 1rst grade. His favorite part is art and recess. lol

HI FORGOT WHEN I LAST WROTE

SORRY BEEN RUNNING AROUND AS HARRISON GRADUATED KINDERGARTEN ON FRIDAY. AND THIS WHOLE WEEK HE STAYED WITH TIMS FAMILY , WHO ALL LIVE A FEW BLOCKS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. I WAS FATHERS DAY SHOPPING YESTERDAY AND MY CELL PHONE RANG, AND IT WAS MY SON HARRISON. HE JUST RECENTLY MEMORIZED MY PHONE NUMBER AND OUR ADDRESS. IT WAS THE SWEETEST THING.

WHEN WE WERE SHOPPING AT COSTCO..(WE JUST BOUGHT A MEMBERSHIP, MAINLY FOR THE FREE SAMPLES), HE ASKED ME “DO YOU THINK THEY SELL BACKYARDS HERE?”

UGH.. WE DIDN’T THINK WE NEEDED A BACKYARD YET..IN OUR LIVES. BUT WITH THIS WONDERFUL GIFT OF AN ACTIVE ,JUST TURNED 6 YEAR OLD BOY, WHO BEGS FOR A DOG, AND SWING, AND POOL..LOL…WELL A 3 STORY TOWNHOUSE SEEMS LIKE A MANSION TO ME, WHO LIVED IN A TINY PLACE IN NYC FOR YEARS ..BUT TO A LITTLE KID WHO WANTS TO RUN AND CLIMB AND RIDE..IT’S JUST A ‘SHORT’ HOUSE..as he would say.

SO THAT IS AN ONGOING SEARCH..WHENEVER HE ASKS,’CAN WE BUY THIS?’ OR ‘I WANT THAT’ I SAY ‘ WELL I WANT A HOUSE ON A HILL” I ALWAYS SAY THIS…AND ONE DAY WHEN WE WERE PLAYING AT THE ROSE BOWL, HE YELLED’ LOOK MOM, YOUR HOUSE ON A HILL.”

HE SAID HE’S SAVING UP FORIT TO BUY ME..LOL.

HE TOOK HIS 1RST GYMNASTICS CLASS AND LOVED IT, AND WAS REALLY FLEXIBLE, BUT HE ALSO LOVES BASKETBALL, AND WE HAVE HIM SIGNED UP FOR SOCCER, THO NONE OF US HAVE EVER PLAYED.

THIS WEEK, I BRUISED MY HEEL, HAVE THE BEG. OF A BONE SPUR AND SWELLING (FROM RUNNING) ,GOT A CROWN ON MY TOOTH, AND SLIGHT RASH FOR A FEW DAYS FROM ANTIBIOTICS FOR MY TOOTH?? OR JUST STRESS ..LOL BUT WE GO TO TIMS DAD TODAY IN FRESNO TO CELEBRATE HIS AND TIMS 1RST FATHERS DAY..AND PICK UP OUR SON, HARRISON.

LAST WEEK,BY THE WAY , WE HAD HIM BAPTIZED, AND IN CHURCH THAT SUNDAY, HE WROTE A PRAYER. HE SAID THIS IS JUST THE TITLE..I’LL WRITE MORE NEXT TIME.. PHOTOS TO COME

BECAUSE I JUST HAD TO PURCHASE AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE, AS MINE EXPIRED, FROM ALL THESE PICTURES.

HOPEFULLY SOME JOB NEW S WILL COME SOON. ITS BEEN VERY SLOW FOR ME IN THAT WAY..I KNOW GOD HAS A PLAN THOUGH.. SEE YA FOR NOW..JENNIFER
