DANIEL REICHARD LITERALLY MADE THE EARTH MOVE

Jennifer Naimo and Daniel Reichard

SO WANDA, JT ,MEEGHAN HOLLOWAY AND I WERE IN THE AUDIENCE AT THE CARPENTER CENTER IN LONG BEACH , CA LAST NIGHT(WITH STUBBLE YOU ALSO) WATCHING THE PREMIERE OF ‘FOREVER PLAID’ MOVIE, WHEN DURING THE LAWRENCE WELK SECTION, OUR SEATS LITERALLY BEGAN SHAKING. IT WAS SURREAL, I HAD TO THINK ‘AM I AT A SENSURROUND MOVIE THEATRE?’ . I JUMPED UP AND RAN TOWARDS THE EXIT. I DID THE SAME THING LAST YEAR WHILE REHEARSING LES MISERABLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL. I JUMPED OFF THE MAKE BELIEVE BARRICADES AND RAN OUTSIDE TO THE OPEN PARKING LOT, AND THE ENTIRE CAST (HALF FROM NYC) FOLLOWED ME.

WELL THAT’S THE LAST THING YOU’RE SPOSED TO DO DURING AN EARTHQUAKE. BUT I’D RATHER BE IN AN OPEN AREA, AND SEE WHAT’S GOING TO FALL ON ME, THAN HAVE THE CEILING COLLAPSE ON ME.. HARRISON ASKED ME THIS MORNING IF I FELT IT.. HE AND TIM WERE HOME. HE GIGGLED. BUT WHERE WE WERE IN LONG BEACH, IT WAS 2 MILES AWAY. WANDA AND JT EXPERIENCED IT FOR THE 1RST TIME, AS WELL AS DANIEL. THEY STOPPED THE FILM AND WE WENT OUTSIDE, THAN ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER RE CONVENED TO FINISH IT, AND TO HEAR 2 LIVE PERFORMANCES.

DANIEL JOINED THE ORIGINAL 3 PLAIDS, AND HE WAS SUCH A REFRESHING, NATURAL ADDITION. HE MAKES ME SMILE. HE’S WITTY, GIFTED, CHARMING AND PERFECT IN IT. JOEY AND CHRIS WERE THERE WITH HIM, SO IT FELT LIKE HOME. ON JULY 9TH IT GOES TO YOUR LOCAL THEATRES FOR 1 DAY…YOU WILL LOVE IT… PHOTOS LATER ..

What a great reunion, Jennifer. Stubbleyou was the most excited of all…he didn’t miss a detail on a great phone call. He said all the Plaids had great voices, but Daniel really shone, and fit in as if he’d been there for decades. Stubbs also got a nice surprise with all the “old home week” gang. He mentioned the earthquake as an afterthought….Stubbs is such a veteran, an earthquake to him is merely one of life’s little annoyances he must deal with, similar to changing the oil in his car.

Now Stubbleyou is into everything plaid. Can’t wait to visit to see all his plaid-lined suits and the plaid shorts he’s planning on wearing this summer. Guess I should be prepared with a good pair of sunglasses.

I shall try to keep the date free on July 9 to see the film. Our resident movie reviewer, Stubbleyou Ebert, gives it four stars. So happy you keep posting, Jen.

Jen, This was SOOOO much fun!!! Earth quake and all! You were just like Chicken Little and the sky falling!! I had no clue what was going on! What an experience! Daniel was terrific on film and in person singing with the other guys, one of the many highlights of my incredible vacation. Can’t wait to come out again Jen, maybe with furniture and dog in tow!! Love you lots BFF!! Wanda kisses and hugs to my nephew and your hubby!

Jen, What an awesome picture of you and Daniel! Brings me back to the JB days (6 times!). Trying to get a group of gals together to see Forever Plaid in July. Sounds like so much fun! Picked up tix to see your other friend, Bobby Spencer, in Next to Normal, around Labor Day (we always do the US Open Tennis and a show!) I always look forward to your stories! Here’s hoping there are no more shake ups! =)
    Love, Doreen

What a great photo. You both look great. It is good to see the “Originals” in a photo….nothing like the original, no blue prints please!

    Hey Jen,

Still here….just a few things going on that keep me away from writing more. The letter is still in my head, now I just need to get it on paper & mail it.

Glad to see the picure of you & Daniel & hear about all that is going on with you, Tim & Harrison.

Just read on facebook that Douglas Crawford will be in the JB cast number on the Tony’s. Can’t wait to see it. Miss seeing the OBC & JB’s. Haven’t been able to get back to BWY since you last saw us for my B-day.

    Take care & keep posting.
    Luv,
    Stacey
