to love another person, is to see the face of GOD

alright, not sure where to begin. We closed with an opening night party after Sundays performance.wonderful, because it was really the first time I got to know some of the amazing cast members. As we only had 10 minute breaks occasionally, and it was an intense study and creation of the show.

It was the first time in the Hollywood Bowls history, that a musical sold out. Yes,on Saturday night there were no seats to be had. But I did manage to meet those prudent planners who bought their tkts way in advance..You know who you are! The majority of Jersey Boy fans.. I finally met some West Coast fans…Not sure they even saw the original Broadway Cast, but they were gracious to me ..I was stunned that Mrs Valli is a cute , bright 17 year old girl.. She nearly fainted when she finally met JLY> And I met Stubbleyou and his gorgeous son Garrett. Charly looked stunning in this adorable Marc Jacobs yellow dress..and she showered us with gifts that stunned my husband Tim.

Howard was there, Linda, Courtney came in for a day from Texas,oh gosh ,you guys forgive my memory with names, but I remember each one of you, especially with all the photos after, which please forward to me so we can get on this website..OK??

My friends here were stunned that some of you had seen the show over 40 times..actually even over 4 times!! They said to me “Are they millionaires or something?”

It was wonderful to do the show again. BUt it was weird too, in that whenever Eponine(played and sung beautifully by Lea Michelle) sang, I would prepare my breath and voice to go on.. Michelle Maika(who was so moving as Cosette) had said the same thing to me in rehearsals. Because Michelle had been Eponine on the 2nd Nat’l TOur ,and Bway, the same time I was doing it on the 1rst Nat’l and the month on Bway..

JLY was so relaxed, and fun , and I know this had to be nice for him to shine when he was on stage, which he did, but not have to shoulder the show. So much more to say…but it’s sunny outside, and tomorrow we leave for a mini vacation at 6am..so there’s much to do before I sleep..

I PROMISE LOTS OF PHOTOS COMING EVENTUALLY… XO JENNIFER

    Hi Jen,

Yes, to love another person is truly to see the face of God. So many great lyrics from Les Miz… Sounds like the whole experience was wonderful and special, and that you were able to get to know the amazing cast.Hopefully, you will be doing more performances on both coasts in the future! Great that so many JB fans, new and old, were there. Those of us that werent able to be there in body, were definetely there in heart and spirit. Have a wondeerful, well deserved vacation. Love ya, Pam

It was such a privilege to meet you! I’m so happy that you had this experience at the Bowl, and I look forward to your future projects! Can’t wait to see what lies ahead.

    Cheers,

    Hey Lovely Lady,

As I recall you were inundated yourself with many autograph seekers, requests for pictures etc. Yes a lot of the West Coast JB fans didn’t have a chance to see you on B’Way but they heard/saw you many times on the Cast Album and print/TV appearances. Let me tell you they were all trilled to meet the original “Mary Delgado”

JB Fans don’t mess around especially when tickets are concerned. We also had in our arsenal Linda our “Ticketmaster” who made sure everyone that needed tickets had or upgraded them.

OMG I would love to hear you sing “On My Own”…please if you can include this song @ your next Cabaret.

    Safe travels.

Much love to you & Tim.

    xo & blessings,
    Charly

All I have to say is that my one day was totally worth it! It was so wonderful seeing you and Tim, meeting some of your friends and having the opportunity to wish you a happy 5th anniversary on Friday! Love you!

Just another fan chiming in to say how fun is was to meet you and Tim at the stage door. As a West Coast fan who had the privilege of seeing you 5 times on Broadway it was a real treat. I didn’t expect you to be mobbed, though!! Who knew?? Hope to see you perform again.

    Hi Jen,
It was great meeting you and Tim, too. What a memorable night for us JB fans and all who attended. This was a double first for my husband and I. First time seeing Les Miz and first time seeing you perform. What a thrill to finally have met you! Looking forward to seeing you again.

    Hi Jen!

It was really nice to see you again and say a quick hello.

Seeing “Les Miz” at the Bowl was such a memorable experience!

Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!

    God Bless.

Jennifer, thank you for such a gracious acknowledgment. Oh, it was a wonderful, wonderful evening. The funniest part happened right at the beginning, as I was walking in with Harry. Tim called me on my cell and we tried to coordinate meeting each other….where are you?? by the entrance?? where are you?? by the bushes?? etc., etc. But both of us were looking at our phones, since by time we did meet, we were literally two feet from each other. A perfect skit for Abbott and Costello in the millennium–but we’ll leave who plays whom to the imagination.

Thanks to the wonderful Linda Soo Hoo (Tiggerbelle) for making sure we all had tickets. And thanks to Harry, I had a wonderful seat. The show was marvelous, and Harry and I were like two little kids the minute we spotted you–our boxmates were shaking their heads in disbelief, but didn’t ask the usher to escort us out.

The stage door was something else. But while the fans huddled around you and JLY, I had Brian Stokes Mitchell to myself….ok, Mrs. Stokes Mitchell was also there to greet him.

I think Mrs. Valli was as thrilled to see you as JLY–she was just showing her poker face to you, but once she got back to us “bells were going off inside”. And wasn’t Garrett great with his Jersey Boys book….he was truly afraid Dad Stubbleyou was going to engulf you with his hug. (We had the fire dept. ready in case you needed to be rescued!) Actually when JLY came out, and I said, “JLY, this is Stubbleyou”, he questioned “Stubbleyou??”, but thankfully, didn’t ask me to explain the genesis of the name as he assumed it was something he should already have known.

For a minute, I didn’t recognize Alison who looked wonderful with her new hairstyle. Susan was nice to come out periodically with the announcement “JLY will be out shortly”….sort of like the guy waiting for a loan with the bank saying “any day now…” And JLY did emerge just in time for breakfast.

Just happy JLY got the hair cut after Les Miz. Was starting to look too much like John Lennon circa 1967 about to do the “Abbey Road” album.

Charly was gorgeous as ever, although Loni Anderson was hanging out at stage door trying to give Charly competition. When she observed there was no contest, she bowed out quietly. If Loni thought she’d go unrecognized, New Jersey Lasagna (Cynthia) blew her cover quickly. Gosh, these tourists from Texas are something else!

Also at the stage door was soap’s Dr. Cliff Warner and Jack Abbott, aka “I’m not a doctor, but I play one on TV” Peter Bergman with his lovely wife Mary Ellen. (When I worked for ABC 25 years ago, I never missed “All My Children”.)

I did miss Rosie O’Donnell but Ruth Williamson did a fine job. And it seems as if you had a wonderful time, too, Jennifer. Thanks so much for being so giving, as always. I’ll bet Mrs. Valli still hasn’t come down to earth, although I’m sure Grandma Castelluccio has tried to keep her on an even keel!
