MANY THE MILES

I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN…EXCEPT THANKYOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO PACKED THE TRIAD ON SUNDAY. SORRY IT STARTED LATE, BUT IT’S BECAUSE OF YOUR SUPPORT THAT WE HAD TO USE THE BALCONY TOO! I HOPE YOU HAD FUN…MY MOM AND DAD WERE THERE WHICH MADE IT SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL…AND WE STAYED OUT WITH WANDA, JT, STEVEN, KEVIN AND KEN DOW, AND MELISSA AND CHRIS AND NORA AND MY PARENTS TILL 1 30…IT WAS FANTASTIC.

I’M SO HUMBLED BY ALL OF YOU WHO CAME, SOME TWICE!!!!!!!! FROM NEAR AND FAR. I ONLY WISH I COULD HAVE SPENT MORE 1 ON 1 TIME…WITHOUT ANYONE FEELING LEFT OUT. I REALLY FEEL THIS SHOW HAS ALLOWED ME TO MAKE NEW LIFELONG FRIENDS AND OPENED SO MANY DOORS, EVEN DOORS OF MY HEART.

OUR DIRECTOR DES IS IN TOWN, AND SAW BOTH SHOWS YESTERDAY. HE HASN’T SEEN CORY OR SEBASTIAN YET…AND HE WAS REALLY HAPPY. BUT TODAY WE HAD A 2 HOUR NOTE SESSION…WHICH IS FUN AND INFORMATIVE…TO MAKE SURE WE’RE STILL TELLING THE STORY.

I HAD A GREAT TIME WITH MY PARENTS BUT IT WAS WAY TOO SHORT. ON MONDAY NIGHT, AFTER WANDA WENT BACK ON HER TRAIN(AND THANKYOU GIRL FOR ALL THE HARD WORK YOU AND ERIN AND STEVEN DID) AND AFTER VISITING FRIENDS MY PARENTS HADN’T SEEN IN A FEW YEARS…WE ORDERED IN CHINESE FOOD (THEY DON’T HAVE COLD SESAME NOODLES IN MICHIGAN) AND WATCHED SHOWTIME..EVERY MOVIE EXCEPT THE ā€˜Lā€™ WORD, SHOW…IT WAS RELAXING AND FUN JUST SPENDING TIME WITH MY BELOVED PARENTS.

ALRIGHT PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO COME…I ALREADY RECEIVED SOME COOL ONES FROM SOME OF YOU.THANKYOU THANKYOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO FREE, AND CONFIRMING MY PARENTS LETTING ME COME TO NY IN THE FIRST PLACE ,SO MANY YEARS AGO….

I can only imagine how you continue to be affected by your cabaret shows. I can tell by your blog entries and other people’s reviews of the show that it was a magical evening. I just wish I could have traveled ‘many the miles’ to see you perform. My mother and I were thinking about you Sunday night!

Hi there! Heard you were absolutely amazing (again!)…congratulations and, most of all, how wonderful that you could share that with your parents. I am so looking forward to seeing you again in Jersey Boys on June 6. Hope to meet you at the stage door…continued success!

Jennifer, I seventh all the above comments. Your voice was beautiful and relaxed, and I liked the waiters taking the orders up front, so there were no distractions. Wanda and Steven did a wonderful job with seating.

After the show, I was delighted to speak with your musical director Chris, who listened patiently (and smiled politely) as I gave him my proposed repertoire for your soon-to-be boxed CD set (LOL–or maybe not!) and sequel cabaret shows, “Midnight Train to Jersey Boys”, “A Snowy Night in Manhattan”, and “Save the Last Encore for Me.”

But the highlight for me was a “Are you Howard?” from your mom Jackie Naimo in an absolutely packed house. Either you described me all too accurately, Jackie is a devoted Blog reader, or Jackie asked a lot of other people “Are you Howard?” before she approached me. She wouldn’t admit which it was; she just laughed mischieviously. In all honesty, Jen, Jackie knew a bit about my career, and I was so so impressed that you actually took such a personal interest in someone who is really just a devoted fan. Thank you.

I think we all had a great time, and although Charles Alexander and Frank Rovello teased about the balcony being tight, I think they were pleased to get a break from all the 4 Seasons/Jersey Boys trivia questions. But, there was a very nice gentleman, Bruno (didn’t get a last name), who did satisfy our curiosity on the lower level.

We all can’t wait for the next one, Jennifer. When should we hit the Radio City box office? Or will it be at MSG?

Hey Jen, I just wanted to add what a wonderful show it was and how happy I am to have made the trip for it. Unfortunately I have been in bed with the flu pretty much since I got home. I’m on the way up, though.

You are so much more than a Jersey Girl(great that she may be), and I loved seeing some of the real Jennifer. You are a fabulous entertainer!

I wish you and Tim the best of luck with the future of your family, and I hope to see you again soon.
    Love, Melissa
