MUSICAL CONDUCTOR /PIANIST ON THE JERSEY BOYS TOUR!!!! I FEEL LIKE A PROUD MOM, CUZ I INTRODUCED HIM TO OUR WONDERFUL KEYBOARD/PIANIST HOOPS SNYDER, AND KEN AND KEVIN DOW AND STEVE GIBB (OUR FAB JBOYS BAND) AND RON MELROSE..WHO OFFERED HIM THE JOB.
HE JUST STARTED LEARNING THE PIANO PART TO SUB FOR HOOPS WHEN THE STRIKE STRUCK..AND WHILE WE WERE DOING THE CABARET, SO THIS IS A BIG MOVE AND HIS FIRST BWAY CREDIT..AND HE’S JUST 24.OK
BUT NOW WE HAVE TO DO THE CABARET ON JANUARY 27, SUNDAY NIGHT AT 9:30..THAT IS IF IT’S OPEN. I TALKED TO THE OWNER KENNY BELL AT LAURIE BEECHMAN LAST NIGHT, APOLOGIZING FOR THE CHANGE AS HE’S BEEN SO ACCOMMODATING..HE’LL CONFIRM HOPEFULLY SOON…

Hi Jen, let us know as soon as it is confirmed. I’m going to try to work it out to fly up for it. Although New York in January is a bit different than Florida in January and I’m not sure I have the clothes for it

I gotta relate this one great holiday anecdote, Jen: since most of my work colleagues are off on Monday, we were all hugging “Happy Holidays” on Friday. One of my favorite admins, Gabrielle, and I hugged, and Gabby noted, “Howard, you smell great! What is that scent?” In a loud voice I responded, “Soapppppppp”. It made for a great moment, but should you ever meet Gabby, Jen, could the genesis of that phrase remain our little secret??? (the one or two in our office who were ‘JB veterans’ did not give me away).
Great seeing you at the stage door Friday. Wasn’t Dee hilarious with that Santa hat? I think after she made so many people pose for pix, some were actually happy to take a break chatting with me, when normally they’d look for the best route to make a clean getaway!! Hmmmm…I’m trying to find a cheap ticket for mom and dad. Of course dad Had to tell her, as a past air traffic controller, that winter is the worst time to fly, LOL. Strange, coming from someone who always sees the glass half full, LOL…I’m searching for a good airline ticket:) I will talk to my Jersey friends and see if they can go, they would LOVE IT!!! Now do us proud!
