whoops

ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOODNESS WE DID A RUN THRU OF THE SHOW IN THE AFTERNOON.. IT HAD BEEN 3 WEEKS SINCE BEING ON STAGE. AS MICHAEL AND I WERE DOING THE PIZZA SCENE…WHICH I’VE BEEN DOING SINCE LAJOLLA!!!!!!!!!!! I COMPLETELY WENT BLANK ON MY LINES AT A CERTAIN POINT..AND EVERYONE STARTED YELLING OUT THE LINE…AND THAT MADE ME EVEN MORE CONFUSED..AND I WAS SHOCKED AT MYSELF AND MICHAEL JUST SMILED AT ME AND WE STARTED AGAIN…AND I STAYED IN BETWEEN AFTER OUR RUN THRU AND WROTE OUT THE ENTIRE SCENE..AND TRIED TO REMEMBER WHEN I FLICKED THE CIGARETTE..ETC…AND THE BEST PART WAS RICK AND MARSHALL WERE OUT IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

AND THEY ALL TOLD ME TO LOOK AT THE SCRIPT..SO THAT NIGHT ..FELT LIKE OPENING NIGHT AGAIN…AND I WAS SHAKING AFTER THE OPENING NUMBER..IT FELT LIKE I WAS WEARING MY MOM’S SHOES AS A LITTLE KID..BUT ONCE WE GOT THRU THE PIZZA SCENE…THE JOY ..AND THE BIKE RIDE BEGAN..

THE AUDIENCES HAVE WARMED MY SOUL..I SOMETIMES PEEK OUT AND SEE THEIR SMILES AND THAT IS EVERYTHING..OK 2 SHOWS TODAY..WONDERFUL TRAVIS IS ON FOR THE MATINEE…THAT GUY CAN SING…

    Hey Jen,

It happens, your only human. Glad the rest of the bike ride is back to normal. I’m sure Rick & Marshall understood.

Happy to hear that Travis is going to get some time in as Frankie while Michael is off for the matinees. I’m going to buy the cd songs Travis has on his myspace page in a few minutes.

Did you get my “Hello” email about my mom leaving the hospital? Keep up the fabulous work & enjoy this holiday season.

    XOXO,
    Stacey

    Hi Jen,
No worries. You are a professional and you came through when it counted. I can only imagine how funny it felt after so much time off. Has it sunk in that JLY is gone for good? I’m glad Travis is getting to do the matinees for a couple of weeks. I saw him as Frankie in October and loved his voice.

    Welcome back to Broadway!

    Jen,
Everone forgets their lines! No worries there. It was probably a bit jumpy though. But, the pizza scene is in the beginning, so once you’re over that part, you’re golden! :)
Glad Travis is going on for the matinees, he is great. I really liked him when I saw him back in May. He is comparable to JLY in some respects.
Hope to see you soon! Stay Warm,
    A

Personally, I like when people mess up on stage. The whole “blooper” thing may be nerve racking for actors but I know lots of audience members that love to see it! No worries…. you’re a pro!

Atleast you got some time off. I know you all probably hated not being able to do anything, but as I sit here trying to crank out 15 pages on Ninth Circuit Reform, I can’t help but be envious! Hope all is well!
