I EAT MY WORDS

I WAS SO WRONG. HOLY COW… I HEARD THE NEWS LAST NIGHT AT ABOUT 11 PM THAT ALL THE SHOWS WOULD BE DARK AGAIN THIS WEEK AND NO RESOLUTION WAS MADE. SARA, HEATHER AND I WERE BACK AND FORTH ON THE PHONE…I FEEL SO BAD FOR ALL OF YOU THAT HAD TICKETS. WE ALL WANT TO WORK BELIEVE ME…IT’S VERY COMPLICATED. ALL OF US LOVE OUR JOBS AND GETTING PAID FOR DOING WHAT WE LOVE TO DO..THAT INCLUDES THE ACTORS, WARDROBE, USHERS, STAGEHANDS, CONCESSIONS, HAIR AND BOX OFFICE..WE ARE ALL ON THE PICKET LINE. WE ALL HOPE THIS WILL BE RESOLVED ..WE’RE SO THANKFUL FOR OUR JOBS, AND EVEN MORE APPRECIATIVE I THINK AS THE TIME PASSES WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO PERFORM.

AS FOR JLY NOT BEING ABLE TO PERFORM HIS LAST SHOW?? HEATHER WAS ACTUALLY THE LAST TO KISS HIM AS MARY DELGADO, AS I WAS SICK ON THUR, AND FRIDAY…IT’S SURREAL..ANYWAY..WE STILL HAVE MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR THIS THANKSGIVING…AND WE PRAY FOR THOSE LESS FORTUNATE ..AND OUR TROOPS, AND THOSE HIT BY THE CYCLONE IN BANGLADESH….HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I was very disappointed to hear such news about the shows not re-opening for a while. I’m definitely going through withdrawal, but I can’t imagine what it’s even like for the actors and everyone else involved in Jersey Boys and every other closed show. I hope things improve very soon for everyone involved. I had hoped to see JLY one last time before he left, but now this can’t happen. I guess I’ll always have my memories of the many times I have seen him. Hope everything is well and that you enjoy your thanksgiving, Jennifer. And hopefully this will all be resolved soon!

    Jen,

We are all eating our words today, my friend! Very disappointing for everyone involved. I can imagine how complicated the issues are for all. And yes, we often appreciate things more when they are taken away, even temporarily. Let’s just hope for a quick resolution. I agree that we all have much to be thankful for this holiday; our health, family, friends, and of course, the wonderful Jersey Boys family. Thank you for being the special person you are, and the privledge of knowing you. Have a fabulous holiday, Jen. Hope to see you again soon.

    Love,Pam

    Jen,
I know..this stinks big time. I am sad that the show has been cancelled through next week, I can’t even imagine how you all feel! Hopefully there will be a resolution soon!
I feel bad for people that bought tickets for John’s last show. I read a interview with JLY about the strike and he said maybe it is a good thing because he doesn’t like messy, emotional goodbyes. :( I hope you all still have a goodbye party for him on Wednesday. Tell him I send him the best of luck!
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Come over here for some turkey if you would like! :)

I am so very sorry about this strike…it certainly has affected SO many, and I hope that soon all sides can come to an agreement. I just cannot imagine a dark Broadway :( .

I hope that your entire cast can give JLY the sendoff that he so deserves. The best thing that we JB fans can say is to him is “hasta luego” which means (in Spanish), “until later.” It is not goodbye…

My best wishes to you, your family, friends and cast members for a very Happy Thanksgiving, and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Although I have only seen you all twice, I feel so lucky to have been able to do so. You all seem to be such incredibly nice, and are so generous of your time to your fans.

Jen, I don’t think any of us would have imagined the strike would contine this long, but it is what it is. I too had tickets for last Saturday (row A), but thankfully, I didn’t travel across the country.

I’m glad you did acknowledge that there are many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Each Thanksgiving, I look at the people I’m so fortunate to have in my life, both for many years and those I’ve come to know recently. This has been a banner year for me, having met so many people, both cast and fans, that have become so dear, and I feel truly blessed.

JLY and you are cut from the same cloth–caring, gracious, attentive, humble, and above all, multi-talented. We’re all looking to you to carry the torch going forward, Jen.

Have a great holiday. Your buddy Wanda has given me permission to eat lots of turkey, as we both decided my lettuce and tomato diet ain’t workin’!! Hopefully, I’ll see you tomorrow night.

    Hi Jen,

Let me add to Howard’s words…the WHOLE JB’s cast is cut from the same cloth. Everyone is so wonderful to all at the stage door & beyond. By reading everyone’s posts on the JB’s blogs, as well as her & other cast members sites etc,…I have read about wonderful & special times they have all shared with us. So God Bless the JB’s cast & tours. May everyone have the happiest & healthiest Thanksgiving.

    Always,
    Stacey & Family
