Last Show of the Week and a Place to Do My Cabaret!!!!!!
Let’s see what happened this week? Madeleine Albright came to the show, as did the writer of The Bourne Ultimatum who happens to be related to Dominic Nolfi. Tonight is the JB Bway Cares Benefit..I’m not performing but hopefully will be able to be in the audience.
I’ve been rehearsing my cabaret and GUESS WHAT? I HAVE A TIME, A PLACE AND A RING!!!!!
NOVEMBER 11, 2007 9:30 PM SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE/WEST BANK CAFE
42ND/9TH AVE..
I’m so excited. I met Laurie Beechman when I was doing the Nat’l Tour of Les Miserables. I was Eponine and she had just become Fantine and we were playing her hometown of Philadelphia. That’s when she found out she was sick. She had to pull out of the show to take care of herself, but when I went to do Eponine on Bway for a month, she was ready to play Fantine…so we reunited.
She was wonderfully warm, energetic, optimistic, loving and her voice!!!!!! I never would have guessed what she was going through, or would have to face in the years to come. So to have the honor of singing in a spot named after her?!?!? I’m very thankful.
I’ll let you know more as we progress. I’m rehearsing and refining material at least 2 to 3 times a week with my wonderful director Andy Gale and genius music director Chris Haber. I hope you all will come…ok gotta do laundry before the show…bye for now.
[...] Jennifer Naimo reports on her blog that she will be starring in her own cabaret! The cabaret will begin at 9:30 pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in the West Bank Cafe (42nd Street and 9th Avenue). More details coming soon! « Jersey Boys to Participate in BC/EFA Flea Market 9/23! [...]
Hey Jen,
Long time no talk. Have had a few things going on here, so I haven’t been online much. I’ll email you more on that.
Anyway things sound like they are going full speed ahead with your Nov show. Where do we call to find out ticket info etc? Will you be having any guest performers for the cabaret?
Hope all is well at JB’s. Give everyone our best.
XOXOXO
Stacey
Hey Jen!
If it were just a week later I’d probably be able to attend but that week definitely doesn’t work! So sad. You’ll be amazing anyways tho! Post lots of pics!

For those of you who didn’t see, “Journey to Jersey Boys,” you missed a Broadway diva in a good show. I’m sure this cabaret performance will be thoroughly entertaining. If you live in the NY area, buy your ticket soon! I’m going to try my best to be there. Jen, you sound so excited. Have fun preparing for the show! And I get the time and place….but what about the ring??? Just curious:)
OH JEN!!! YOU KNOW I’LL BE THERE!!! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY EXCEPT I’M SO EXCITED AND CANNOT WAIT!!!
LOVE YA, WANDA
Ohh Jennifer!!! That is so great, I am so proud of your accomplishments and I am so happy that I know you. Good luck on your cabaret, and I hope I can go, I know it will be so much fun!!! (P.S. My computer is fixed! Yay!)
Lots of love and luck,
A
Our wonderful friend and great fan, Irene Eizen, worked for years with Laurie Beechman’s sister. And my friend, Jana Robbins, always holds her shows there. So I know the place well, and I’ll be there on the 11th.
C’mon Jen, I so want you to take some suggestions from the fans. Maybe I’m reflecting too much on your Mary Delgado, but I’d love to hear “I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair” from “South Pacific”, “Rose’s Turn” from “Gypsy”, “Second Hand Rose” from “Funny Girl”, or the pop anthems “I Will Survive” or “I am Woman”!!
