last nights show
Comments(16) I think a virus is hitting the community here on Bway…Daniel Reichard and Ericca Piccinnini both were out the last couple shows…Daniel has strep throat. These two rarely miss shows so it was nice to have Heather Ferguson on as Lorraine and Dominic Nolfi was on as Bob Gaudio. I love when Heather goes on…she has a fun attitude on and off stage…and her mom was in town for Easter week and got to see her in this part.
Most exciting for us and for Heather and Dom was that Steven Spielberg was at the show AGAIN!! this time with his kids. There have been rumors in the press and such that he’s being approached to direct the film version of Jersey Boys..?? He came right after we opened the show too with his wife Kate and George Lucas.
Some of the second touring company members have been coming to watch the show after their rehearsal at night…so we’re slowly beginning to meet them. Last night the Gyp DeCarlo actor came…Eddy?? Driscoll..congrats to all.
PS: Tim tapes American Idol for me (as I don’t have Tivo or a DVR) and mails me the tapes so that I get them a week later…but this time he included last weeks Law and Order…You all need to check out Christian Hoff on this limited commercial free episode. He was wonderful, moving, intense, vulnerable…excellent…Christian is one classy guy.
Ouch, sickness is no fun! Hope those two recover fast!
Christian was fabulous on Law and Order. I don’t normally watch that one, but I tuned in for him and was not dissapointed.
And Steven Spielberg again? How exciting. It’d be really awesome to see Jersey Boys on the big screen (especially with some of the broadway cast in some roles)!

Great show last night! You were totally superb! I love reading your blog and now I have something to comment on…I was sitting next to Mr. Spielberg at last night’s performance. He was very nice and down to earth. I hope the cast feels better, although it was great getting to see Dominic Nolfi and Heather Ferguson performing. Great performances all around, it was the best I’d seen it!

Send my best to Daniel and Erica. I had seen Heather cover Erica’s roles twice while she was away for her wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. I also really enjoyed Dominic’s Tommy.
Anyway, I hope you’re doing well and I can’t wait to see the show again at some point this summer!
PS I don’t normally watch Law and Order: CI but I had to tune in to see Christian and he was so great! I even downloaded it from iTunes. It took me awhile to get used to not hearing that “Jersey” accent of his.
You probably won’t remember this but I saw you in Starbucks one sunday before the show in like December or January and a couple of weeks ago my friend, her parents and I saw the show and you came up to me at the stage door and asked me what my first name was.

Please relay my best wishes for Daniel & Erica to fell better. I sent an email to Daniel last night when I found his new/second my space page. Very nice. I had asked him to tell you I said hello, but didn’t know he was out ill until reading it here.
A possible Jersey Boys movie, I can name a bunch of people to be cast…..THE WHOLE BWY CAST!!! So how does the 2nd touring cast look so far? I read on Erich Bergen’s & Eric Gutman’s blogs that Jarrod Spector from the first tour will be playing Frankie in the second. They were still hush hush on who will be playing Bob Gaudio….I guess nothing is 100% final yet & aren’t allowed to post it now.
As for American Idol…I have been a fan from day one. I do agree that a few of the top 12 this year were wrong choices. If a poor singer wins just because of the going through puberty set….I will stop watching. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!! Bring back Chris Sligh & Gina Glockson….and get rid of “Sungi Mack.” Won’t try to spell his whole name.

Careful with the sickness in the cast. It seems like it’d be VERY easy for it to transfer from person to person in a show. There should be a way to edit kissing scenes if someone is sick… No wonder both Daniel and Erica are sick after the “December 1963″ lip lock.
Tell Mr. Speilberg next time you see him that I’ve already decided on the cast for the movie, and it consists of the entire original broadway cast. It wasn’t a hard decision and I bet he’d agree with me.
Have you been able to catch any Dancing with the Stars? This season seems to be quite competitive, unlike this season of American Idol.
And, Christian? Classy? I suppose… haha!
